Seniors 2017

Spring is a time of new beginnings and bittersweet goodbyes. This year we will be sending off 38 amazing and brilliant women as they step into the next chapter of their lives.  From grad school to entering the workforce these sisters will forever have a lasting impression on the Eta Lambda Chapter. The sisters of GMU Alpha Phi has had the privilege of watching these 38 women transform and mold into beautiful and driven women who are entrepreneurs, poets, future politicians, future doctors and nurses, makeup gurus, fashion designers, incredible dancers, athletic trainers and so much more. They each came with a story of their own and in these four years have shared and inspired the sisters of Alpha Phi in their unique way.  Thank you to these women for always inspiring and pushing each other to be the best possible version of yourself that you have to offer, your impact does not go unnoticed.

My favorite aphi memory would have to be bid day. Running home to this sisterhood was amazing. It was one of my favorite college experiences. My second would be getting my two littles, it was really special to get two perfect little sisters who have made college that much better.

Fav memory was getting my little/having my family grow . I was so excited for reveal and she's really a little sister to me. I love every big little reveal. Watching my little get a little, and my g little get a little made me so happy. I couldn't ask for a better fam. They make me proud and made my aphi experience amazing!

My favorite memory was running home for the second time this year after being a Rho Gamma. Being on the other side of recruitment was an amazing experience, but at the same time there's no place like home, and having everyone so excited made it so special!

Favorite Alpha Phi Memory:

Fave memory was when I was having family problems and had nowhere to go for Thanksgiving, but my big, Alexis, invited me to have dinner with her and her fam. It was so incredibly nice of her and I truly felt like she was my big sister right then. I couldn't have asked for a better role model throughout college. :-)

Christina Castle-English

Concentration: Writing & Rhetoric

Favorite Alpha Phi Memory:

My favorite Alpha Phi memory (though there are many) was when we won the intramural soccer championships during my first year as a member. It was a long day for everyone as it was the class of 2015's senior ceremony day, but we managed to come together (seniors included) and win a hard fought game despite being exhausted. To me, that day reinforced the idea that Alpha Phi is one large team continuously supporting eachother to be our best and achieve the best.

Christina Orlando-Events Management

My favorite memory in Alpha Phi is by far recruitment. Being able to come together with my entire chapter before classes start is so fun and being able to show new girls how great Alpha Phi is so effortless.

My favorite memory in alpha phi was being elected as VP. This position changes you in a way that is irreversible. You learn how strong you are, how much you care about others besides yourself, and just how much you are willing to sacrifice to be the best.

It's an amazing feeling to be so uplifted by your sisters and for them to see qualities you didn't even know you possessed.

My favorite Alpha Phi memory was being elected into my VP position. I was so grateful that my sisters trusted me and thought I was deserving of being on Eta Lambda's Executive Council. My sisters inspired and challenged me every day to be a better person, leader, and friend than I was the day before. Thankful for the inspiration and opportunity, it was the greatest honor of my life to serve this chapter.

I remember moving to Virginia from overseas and not knowing anyone but one of the older sisters in Alpha Phi, Sarah Garner helped move me in and made me feel at ease. My first sisterhood event where we went to the prince William campus and did an obstacle course in the rain and everyone slid down the rope climb was one of my favorite Alpha Phi memories. It was the first event I went to and I got to know everyone and see how kind and funny everyone is and felt comfortable embarrassing myself attempting to climb up a wet wooden pole.
